DESCRIPTION:El excepcional episodio histórico naval en que se materializó la Empresa de Inglaterra de Felipe II contra Isabel I, protagonizado por una imponente y orgullosa armada zarpada de Lisboa en 1588, ha sido desde 1919 objeto de tratamiento audiovisual en diversos formatos (largometraje, documentales, docuficciones, cortos de animación), de diversa calidad artística, desigual rigurosidad historiadora, diferente concepción argumental, distintiva intencionalidad de mensaje y variada complejidad técnica en cuanto a la representación de escenarios marítimos y terrestres, navíos, figuras y combates.\nActores como Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, Flora Robson, Raymond Massey, Errol Flynn, Renee Kelly, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains y Henry Daniell, Rod Taylor, Christopher Lee, Cate Blanchett, Jordi Mollá, Fernando Corral en títulos como Westward Ho! (1919), Drake of England(1935), Fire over England (1937), The Sea Hawk (1940), This England (1941), Seven seas to Calais (1962), The Devil-ship’s (1964), Elizabeth. la Edad de Oro (2007), Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle (2007), The Monkey (2021, premio Goya), The Armada (1999), The Battle Against the Spanish Armada (2005), Armada. The Untold Story (2015) y Armada 1588: Shipwreck & Survival (2015), creaciones dirigidas por Percy Nash Arthur B. Woods, William k. Howard, Michael Curtiz, David MacDonald, Rudolph Maté y Primo Zeglio, Don Sharp, Shekhar Kapur, Al Butler, John Nolan, Nathan Williams, Tim Dunn y Simon Winchcombe, más Xosé Zapata Pérez,serán tratadas por primera vez en un entorno específico (Saraqusta Film Festival).
